Welcome to Bogey Bear Jr. Golf!

Thank you for visiting our website! We hope you'll browse our pages and more importantly, come participate in our activities. We run junior golf clinics every Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. except for holiday weekends and during our annual fundraising tournament. Our season runs from the first Saturday in April to the last Saturday in August.

Since 1996, the Bogey Bear Jr. Golf Foundation has taught the game of golf to thousands of inner-city youth for FREE. Students (7 through 17) are not only taught the technical aspects of swinging a golf club but, character values like confidence, integrity and sportsmanship.

The longtime home of Bogey Bear Jr. Golf is Jefferson Park Golf Course located at 4101 Beacon Avenue South on Seattle’s Beacon Hill. Bogey Bear Jr. Golf provides FREE lessons, FREE equipment, FREE range balls and FREE green fees for advanced students to play on the short 9 and 18-Hole championship course.

How can Bogey Bear Jr. Golf provide all of these resources for free? Volunteer coaches, donations and one golf tournament each year. That’s it. This is a dedicated group of individuals, some of whom have coached since 1996, that have kept Dr. John Lee’s dream alive. But we always need more coaches! Don’t know how to golf? We could still use volunteers! Won’t you join us?

Haley, Jacque & Chelsea Congratulations to Bogey Bear Student Mentors: Haley, Jacque and Chelsea from Mercer Island High School for winning the KingCo 3A regular season with a perfect 10 - 0 record! Additional congratulations for winning the KingCo Tournament at Willows Run GC and the Seattle Metro-KingCo District Tournament at Riverbend GC. Onward to the State Championship in Spokane! Bogey Bear wishes you straight drives and true putts!

Want to make a difference in a kid’s Life?
Want to share your passion for golf with someone just learning the sport?

We welcome new and returning Mentors and Volunteers to a Bogey Bear Junior Golf Rally on Saturday, March 31^st at 10:00 a.m. at Jefferson Park Golf Course. Learn the new student curriculum that coordinates with the new colored bag tags that will help you see at a glance the skill level of your students. We’ll also practice the ever popular Bogey Bear 1-2-3 cadence. Enjoy coffee, conversation and learn a new skill yourself!

Stretch those golf starved muscles! Bogey Bear Junior Golf is just around the corner.

Save the date - Saturday, April 7, 2012.

New, Beginning and Intermediate students start at 10:00 a.m. and Advanced students start at 9:15 a.m. Everyone will end at approximately 11:30 a.m.

NEW THIS YEAR! Students will receive a bag tag that will help them remember Bogey Bear Junior Golf fundamentals. The color of each bag tag will coordinate with their skill level:

Beginners - Blue
Intermediate - Red
Advanced - Black
